Overview

The FRDM-K64F and FRDM-KL25Z are recommended Freedom development boards that have been designed by Freescale in collaboration with ARM mbed for prototyping all sorts of IoT devices. They are fully supported in the mbed platform, so they get access to the free tools and SDK that provides experienced embedded developers with powerful and productive tools for building proof-of-concepts. The Freedom boards are also Arduino compatible enabling attachment of a host of Arduino shield boards. Freescale is providing a $200 coupon redeemable at www.freescale.com/freedom under the Buy Direct button for each IPSO Challenge team. The coupon is not restricted to just the K64 and KL25Z freedom boards… in addition to other mbed enabled boards, be sure to check out the Sensor, Analog, and Power Management boards that compliment the Freedom boards.
